South Suburban Sports Complex
South Suburban's new regional sports complex is open to the public. It includes:
- Fieldhouse with two synthetic turf fields
- Two gymnasiums with Pickleball courts
- Three sheets of ice
- South Suburban administrative offices
The new complex is not a traditional recreation center or gym. South Suburban already owns and operates four full-service recreation centers, and two are within a 5 mile radius of the new recreation complex (Goodson & Lone Tree).
The project replaces the 50-year old South Suburban Ice Arena and the South Suburban Administration Office.
The facility is 206,000 square-feet. It is located just southwest of East County Line Road, and South Holly Street.
